Welcome to Ankata Online Tutoring (“Ankata,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). These Policies describe the terms under which you may submit an application to become a tutor with Ankata, and how your personal information is handled throughout the recruitment process. By applying through our website, submitting your résumé, or communicating with us, you agree to the following terms.

1. Purpose of This Policy

This policy applies exclusively to individuals applying for tutoring positions at Ankata. They cover every stage of the application, screening, and interview process, ending once a candidate is either accepted or declined. Separate contractual agreements apply if you are hired.

3. Information We Collect

During the application and interview process, we may collect:

  • Your full name, email address, phone number, and location
  • Academic background, teaching experience, and subject expertise
  • Résumé, cover letter, and other uploaded documents
  • Interview responses and notes from evaluators
  • Optional information you choose to share (such as availability or preferred subjects)

If required for verification, we may also request references or educational proof.

4. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used only for recruitment and evaluation purposes, including:

  • Reviewing your qualifications
  • Scheduling interviews or teaching demonstrations
  • Assessing suitability for tutoring positions
  • Communicating updates about your application
  • Maintaining internal records of applicants for future opportunities (if you consent)

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with unrelated third parties.

5. Data Storage and Retention

Your application data is stored securely in our internal recruitment system. If you are not selected, your information may be:

  • Retained for up to 12 months for consideration in future opportunities, or
  • Deleted immediately upon request.

If you are selected for further evaluation or hiring, your data may be transferred into our secure onboarding system and governed by a separate contract and policy.

6. Confidentiality

All candidate information, interview responses, and evaluation results are treated as confidential. Only authorized members of the Ankata recruitment team have access to this data.

7. Accuracy and Access

You have the right to:

  • Request a copy of the personal information you've provided
  • Correct or update inaccurate details
  • Withdraw your application and request deletion of your data at any time
  • Requests can be made via info@ankata.ca

8. Third-Party Services

During the application process, we may use trusted third-party tools for:

  • Form submissions or résumé uploads
  • Scheduling interviews (e.g., Calendly, Google Meet, Zoom)
  • File storage and communication
  • These services follow strict privacy and security standards, but we encourage you to review their own policies as well.

9. Updates to This Policy

Ankata may revise these Policies periodically to reflect updates to our recruitment practices. Any changes will be posted on our website with a revised “Last Updated” date.
